In 2002, two national surveys of pharmacists' recommendations were conducted by Pharmacy Times and Pharmacy Today (the official publication of the American Pharmaceutical Association). These results ranked SnoreStop as the #1 over-the-counter medicine for snoring in the U.S. SnoreStop was also the most recommended brand of medicine for snoring by pharmacists, having received the number of recommendations when compared to the second leading brand.
In 2003, under the same survey guidelines, SnoreStop continues to rank #1 in its category, with SnoreStop's recommendations now exceeding three times the recommendations of the second leading brand.

*The 2002 Pharmacy Times OTC Recommendation Survey asked more than 2,100 pharmacists for their preferences on more than 1,000 OTC brands in over 100 OTC categories. In the tables that follow, products are organized by category and listed based on the percentage of pharmacists' recommendations they received. Percentages from the survey are calculated based on the total number of times per month the pharmacists who recommended the product category chose the brand.
**In August 2002, 1,000 practicing community pharmacists were surveyed regarding which products they recommend for self-care of common conditions.
The instrument consisted of 8 general questions relating to OTCs and 54 OTC product categories. For each product category, participants were provided with a list of products (aided recall) and asked to write in the number of times per week they recommend those products to patients. Participants were also given the opportunity to write in the name of any product they routinely recommend that was not listed.
Surveys were returned via mail or fax to Pharmacy Today and tabulated. The response rate was 32%. Total recommendations per week for all products in a given category were tallied, and percentages were assigned to each product listed. Leaders in each category were determined by highest percentage of the total number of recommendations per week. The top three products in each category are listed in the tables that follow with their percentage share of the total number of respondent recommendations. The remaining products are grouped into the "other" category.
